COVID-19 Update

Hello to our valued Lake Michigan Animal Hospital Family!

For the safety of our staff members as well as our clients, we have made some changes to our clinic policies in regard to COVID-19.

We will be limiting all human to human contact as much as possible. Effective immediately, we will need all appointments to adhere to the following protocol. We will need you to remain outside in your vehicle for the duration of your appointment. When you arrive, please call 616-895-5852 and let us know you are here. We will take a history and discuss your needs over the phone. When we are able to, a staff member will call you and have you come to the door with your pet. We will then take your pet inside for any treatment or procedures needed. While this may be difficult for some pet owners, rest assured, we will treat your family member with the utmost care while not in your presence. Our exam and treatments will be just as thorough as they have always been. We will call you to discuss exam findings and any recommendations. We will take your payment over the phone if possible. At the end of the appointment, we will let you know when to come to the door to pick up your pet.

Please note it is of utmost importance that all dogs MUST be on a leash or in a carrier. All cats must be in a pet carrier.

Also note that during these times, our phone lines may be busy or take longer for us to answer if we are with a client.

If you have any medication or food to pick up, please call to place your order ahead of time and pay over the phone if possible. Please call when you arrive and we will deliver your products to you in your vehicle. Remember that we do now have an online pharmacy to address your needs with home delivery. Links are available on our facebook page or website.

We know these protocols are not ideal. We will miss the time spent talking with each and every one of you. We know that it is difficult not to be right there comforting your pet during their exam and treatments. We also know how important it is for us to be there for you and your pets when they are injured or sick. We are doing everything possible to remain open and healthy to provide care for your furry family members.
